The game has been out 2 years and there's no patch for it. Ubisoft seems to find new ways of breaking their perfectly good games and pissing me off. I just want to play a game that I paid for. Running the game as administrator doesn't work either since it opens through Uplay anyway. I have tried going into my "Documents\My Games\Far Cry 3" folder, opening GamerProfile.xml with notepad, changing Autosave=1 to Autosave=0, marking it as "Read Only", then restarting my whole system. It will not let me fast-travel or anything else the game will not let you do while it says it's saving. This makes it impossible for me to save and the only thing I can do is ctrl+alt+del and force-close Far Cry 3. (Uplay still crashes some times for no apparent reason, but it doesn't affect my gameplay anymore)Įvery so often the Autosave will glitch and say it is saving the game, but it doesn't stop. after going through the painful task of getting Uplay to open without crashing immediately, making it impossible for me to make an account with the stupid player, I encountered another EXTREMELY annoying glitch.
